Project Summary
The Burnaby District Energy Utility will deliver low-carbon energy sourced from Metro Vancouver’s Waste-to-Energy Facility to nearby homes and businesses. Once operational, the BDEU will supply heating and hot water through an underground thermal network, cutting an estimated 22,400 tonnes of CO₂ per year—equivalent to removing 4,800 cars from the road.
