A Biosphere Eco-City (BEC) is an urban-centred region where people and organizations cooperate for sustainability.

Both natural and human elements interact between the urban core and surrounding rural area of a Biosphere Eco-City. Cooperation between those areas ensures that benefits of sustainability are shared within all parts of a Biosphere Eco-City.

Why the name Biosphere Eco-City
The “Biosphere” is the collection of all life on Earth. The word “Eco-City” refers to a global movement for sustainable cities. Together they symbolize the goal of sustainability that will protect the Biosphere
