Fresh Roots

The Fresh Roots organization is not only a fertile ground to grow sustainable food, but also a space to educate people, build community-centered farming practices, and provide the space for people to discover where they belong. Meaningful employment options for young adults and education for the youth on sustainable farming practices is provided, all while producing fresh, delicious food! Through the sense of inclusion, community and empowerment, Fresh Roots wants to develop healthy relationships with food, land and community, as they believe collective action is imperative for change. Furthermore, food is a right for all and a huge mobilizing force that can drive the change we really need. They have plenty of opportunities to get involved, including paid jobs and volunteer work!
