Project Summary

Go by Bike week, hosted by UBC, is a fun and healthy way to reduce your carbon footprint. This event is held twice a year, once in the Fall and once during Spring. It encourages everyone to ride their bikes more to work, school or just to dash around town! Helpful resources like cycling maps or riding tips can be found during these events and you’ll also find Celebration Stations around Metro Vancouver, where you can stop for free bike tune-ups, snacks, and a chance to win prizes—all hosted by local, bike-friendly businesses. To make it more interesting and encouraging, there is a friendly competition for teams of 5 at UBC with awards for the most kilometers cycled, highest average number of kilometers and many more. Make sure to check out their website if interested!
