Greenheart Tree Walk
Sustainable walking tour through UBC’s Botanical Gardens, on a suspended bridge
The Greenheart Tree Walk is a guided tour on a 310m long treetop canopy walkway that hangs over the forest floor. Providing breathtaking views of Vancouver’s coastal temperate rainforest, this walk showcases magnificent Old Growth trees, from cedars to grand firs! The purpose of this canopy walkway is to provide access to the forest, without causing too much harm and leaving minimal impact. The suspension of the walkway is engineered in a way that does not harm the trees it’s suspending from. This guided eco-tour provides one with the opportunity to learn more about the diverse ecosystems we live within, and about the First Nation’s cultural use of plants. With a small entry fee, this remarkable opportunity is open to everyone.
