Project Summary
The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is proposing to create a new eelgrass habitat near Delta, British Columbia, to compensate for the eelgrass lost due to the construction of the Roberts Bank Terminal 2. The habitat enhancement program is aiming to fill the subtidal depressions, likely created due to historic dredging activities. As a result, these depressions are too deep to be naturally colonized by eelgrass.
