Project Summary
The Social Housing Initiative aims to allow social housing in all neighbourhoods without requiring individual rezonings, reducing delays and project costs. Public engagement phases were completed, and a referral report to City Council is scheduled for November 27, 2025. The initiative supports affordable housing creation for low- and moderate-income residents, promotes social equity, and aligns with the Vancouver Plan’s goal of achieving more complete, inclusive neighbourhoods.
