Project Summary
The project will increase the energy recovery of the facility by using steam from waste combustion to heat water distributed to nearby neighborhoods. The project includes construction of an energy centre that will offer public amenities and serve as an educational space. This plan supports Metro Vancouver’s broader goal of creating a resilient, sustainable region. Construction is expected to start in 2025 and last until 2028.
